Season 29 of “The Amazing Race” (9 p.m., CBS/Ch. 2) is a bit different from the previous 28, because none of the contestants knew each other before the race began.
That’s right. Everyone is a stranger to not only the other teams, but to the person with whom he/she is running the race. And, through the first couple of episodes, it’s worked rather nicely and given the series a shot of adrenaline.
