The new crime series “Public Morals” (8 and 10 p.m., TNT) is set inside the NYPD’s vice unit in the 1960s.
Think “Mad Men” crime drama. It’s a stylized, very violent series that starts slow but builds. It’s worth checking out three or four episodes.
In the opener, Officer Terry Muldoon (Edward Burns, who is also an executive producer) issues a warning to his gangster uncle.
